Terms of Business
These terms cover every order for custom printed boxes from The Gift Boxes. They are written plainly so you know what happens at each stage.

Quotes
Every order starts with a quote, sent within one working day of your request. It sets out the box style, inside size, board, print, finishes, extras and quantity.
The price on the quote you accept is the price for that specification. If you change the size, quantity or finish, we send a new quote. The site takes no payment online; payment is arranged with the team after you accept.
Proofs and approval
Before anything is printed, our designers send a free proof showing your artwork on the box layout. You can ask for edits until you are happy.
Please check spelling, dates, colours and sizes on every panel. We print exactly what you approve, and approval confirms your order.
Production times
Folding card styles are made in 4–6 working days after approval. Rigid styles are made in 8–10 working days after approval.
Working days are Monday to Friday, not counting bank holidays. Once printing has started, the order cannot be cancelled.
Delivery
Delivery is free and tracked, and takes 2–3 working days after dispatch. We deliver to UK mainland addresses only.
Reprints and refunds
If boxes arrive misprinted or damaged, report it within 10 days with photos. We then reprint or refund the affected boxes.
Because each order is made to your design and size, we cannot take back boxes you no longer want. Boxes that match the approved proof are not misprints.
Artwork and rights
You must own, or have permission to use, every logo, image and font you send us. By sending artwork you confirm that printing it does not break anyone else's rights.
Your artwork stays yours. We use it only to make your boxes and keep it for repeat orders unless you ask us to delete it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute is handled by the courts of England and Wales.

When is my gift box order confirmed?
Your order is confirmed when you have accepted the quote and approved the proof.
Who is responsible for spelling mistakes on the proof?
You are asked to check every panel before approving. We print the proof exactly as approved, so read it closely.
Can I print images I found online on my boxes?
Only if you own them or have permission to use them. Sending artwork confirms you hold those rights.
Who owns the artwork after my boxes are printed?
You do. We use it only for your boxes and keep it on file for repeat orders unless you ask us to delete it.
Are weekends counted in production times?
No. Production and delivery times count working days, Monday to Friday, without bank holidays.
Which law applies to these terms?
The law of England and Wales, with disputes handled by the courts of England and Wales.
Can I cancel after approving the proof?
Contact the team straight away. Once printing has started the boxes are made for you alone, so the order cannot be cancelled.
Will a typical size on the site fit my product?
Typical sizes are guidance only. You confirm the inside size on the proof, so measure your product before you approve.
Does the price change after I accept a quote?
No, not for the same specification. A change to size, quantity, board or finish is quoted again.
Do these terms cover delivery off the UK mainland?
No. We deliver to UK mainland addresses only, and the delivery times above apply to those addresses.
