Reprints and Refunds
Every box is printed to the proof you approved. If boxes arrive misprinted or damaged, tell us within 10 days with photos and we put it right.
What we put right
- Report misprints or damage within 10 days of delivery.
- Send clear photos of the problem with your report.
- Confirmed misprints and damaged boxes are reprinted or refunded.
- Boxes that match the approved proof are not a misprint.
- Custom boxes are made for your order, so a change of mind is not covered.
How to report a problem
- Open and check your boxes as soon as they arrive.
- Photograph the problem, and the outer carton if it was crushed in transit.
- Email the photos to info@thegiftboxes.co.uk with your order reference.
- The team reviews them and arranges a reprint or a refund.
Questions
Still unsure? Ask us on WhatsApp or call +44 7578 382054.
What counts as a misprint?
Print that does not match the proof you approved, such as missing artwork, text in the wrong place or the wrong finish. Damage covers boxes that arrive crushed, torn or marked.
Can I return boxes I no longer need?
No. Each box is printed to your design and size, so it cannot be resold. Reprints and refunds cover misprints and damage only.
What if only part of the order is damaged?
Photograph the damaged boxes and tell us how many are affected. The reprint or refund covers those boxes.
Can I choose a reprint instead of a refund?
Say which you would prefer when you report the problem. The team confirms the option once the photos have been reviewed.
Why do you ask for photos of the problem?
Photos show the team exactly what went wrong without waiting for boxes to travel back. They also help the print team find the cause.
What if I spot a problem after 10 days?
Reports after 10 days fall outside this policy, so check your boxes when they arrive. If something is wrong later, contact the team anyway and explain what you found.
Is a small colour difference from my screen a misprint?
Not usually. Screens show colour differently from printed board, so boxes are matched to the proof and any Pantone reference you gave. If an exact colour matters, give that reference at proof stage.
Should I send damaged boxes back to you?
Keep them until the team has reviewed your report. Sometimes another photo is needed before a reprint goes ahead.
How long does a reprint take to arrive?
A reprint goes back through production, so allow 4–6 working days for folding card or 8–10 for rigid boxes. Free tracked delivery then takes 2–3 working days.
What if the proof I approved had a mistake in it?
Boxes printed to an approved proof match what was signed off, so read every panel before you approve. If a mistake slips through, contact the team and a corrected run can be quoted.
